{mooblock=Links on the site that worked before don't seem to be working}

Try closing your browser window and emptying the cache in your browser, before opening the site and logging in again. For some reason the site seems to need this occasionally.

{/mooblock}

{mooblock=I keep getting an "Invalid Token" error when trying to log in}

This error occurs when the site reads two different sessions from your browser's cookies. In order to protect the site from spammers, the site blocks the second (more recent) session from access. In order to alleviate the issue, simply clear your browser's cookies. If, for some reason, you are still receiving the error, switch to a different browser. The sessions should reset within 60 minutes.

{mooblock=Why does the site redirect me to a plans page?}

Some of the information on the site is only accessible to currently active (i.e. paid-up) members.

2. Membership Questions

{mooblock=Is my membership a yearly subscription?}
The short answer: yes. The long answer: yes, but "year" is defined by academic calendar year, not year from the date of purchase.

Membership to the CSM is on a year by year basis, but the "year" here is defined as a fixed expiration that renews every June 15th. So, if member X purchases a membership June 30th 2012 and member Y purchases a membership March 15th 2013, both of their memberships will expire on June 15th 2013 (because the purchase was for the academic year of 2012-2013). The fixed expiration on subscription coincides with the academic calendar for our memberships and with the way our journal Florilegium is managed.

{mooblock=Why are there two paypal options?}
The first paypal option (Paypal Subscription) offers an ongoing 'subscription' in the CSM/SCM - in other words, you don't have to remember to renew every year. This option requires you to have a paypal account. The second option (Paypal Buy Now!) is for a one-time purchase of membership - membership for the current academic year (ending June 15). This option allows you to pay via paypal account or via credit card (you don't need a permanent paypal account).

4. Payment & Billing

{mooblock=How do I become a member of the CSM?}
Easy! You can become a member by registering for an account on our website.

Click on the "Register/Login" button at the top and "create an account." The link will direct you to our membership plans page. Choose the appropriate membership (e.g. student) and then a method of payment.

{/mooblock}

{mooblock=What types of payment can I use to register?}

There are three ways to pay for your membership fee:

  1. Paypal: Using the Paypal gateway, you can pay a one-time online fee.
  2. Paypal Subscription: Using the Paypal gateway, you can setup a recurring subscription that will auto-renew your membership every year.

After the cheque is processed, you will receive an email with account details and access to the website.
